Greetings from the new director of Koshigaya Veterinary Clinic in transition from Hara Animal Hospital taking place in March 2017.
In the past, I served at two 24/7 Animal Hospitals in Kanagawa Prefecture and also had opportunity to work at the Animal Shelter and Clinic in Republic of Palau which was the only veterinarian clinic on the small island nation. Working at both regional hub animal hospitals in Japan gave me tremendous challenges to enhance my clinical skills and knowledge for emergency circumstances through various cases.
On the other hand, the atmosphere of Palau was rather bright and friendly just like many tropical islands with such slow pace of life. Being an only veterinarian on the small island allowed me to think of each case with flexibility in consultations which extended me to have valuable experiences to overcome to build good interpersonal relationship beyond language barrier with people from different background.
Living in extremely different places like Japan and Palau led me to realize the kindness and politeness of Japan and open mindful relaxing character of Palau. With combining the positive sides of both countries, Japan and Palau, I became to learn how to provide an inviting clinical space with less tension of animals and also anxiety of animal owners.
This is my desire to offer a comfortable clinic where animals and owners can visit with sense of feeling with trust and supportiveness even with small consultations.

Greetings.
My husband and I are very fortunate to have an opportunity to open a new veterinary clinic in Koshigaya in March 2017.
After earning DVM degree at College of Bioresource Sciences, Nihon University and serving at the 24/7 animal hospitals in Japan, I also served as a veterinarian for dolphins in Republic of Palau before returning to Japan to have a baby girl, Jun.
People ask “Palau? Pharaoh? Macao?” but Palau is a tiny island country with blue sky and pristine ocean located right south of Japan.
It was not too long after we decided to open a clinic in Koshigaya that we learned the worship house of Nanyo Shrine in Palau has transferred to the back of Hisaizu Shrine near our new clinic.
We didn’t think it was coincident but must be a fate from the High.
We will do our daily best to serve as loving veterinarians to continue the clinic Drs. Hara treasured to be able to offer the service where many people in Koshigaya love.
Our logo came from the concept we carry over from Hara Animal Hospital “We strive to assist protection of precious small family members’ health” with our favorite dolphin, dog and cat in circle.
